Testimonials

My experience with Chris as my coach has been exceptional. After my first swim analysis with Chris, I saw noticeable improvement and he gave me clear direction and drills to incorporate into my routine. After my follow up session is where the gains really began to show. Chris insisted on a follow up session and spent time breaking each drill down, creating a clear plan that ultimately allowed me to improve my swim pace considerably, while making swimming fee much easier. Chris really cares about making people better in the triathlon space and I would recommend his coaching to anyone passionate about triathlon training at any experience level. Athlete – Griffin Ruddell

Coach Chris has been one of the best coaches I’ve worked with period. Coming from a competitive lifting background, I decided to step far outside my comfort zone and pursue an Ironman.

I never learned proper swim technique growing up and severely underestimated how challenging it would be to learn to swim efficiently for distance as a 32-year-old adult. I worked with other swim coaches before meeting Chris, but I wasn’t seeing the progress I expected and felt the guidance was largely generic and one-size-fits-all.

I sought out coaching from Chris after seeing him lead a swim clinic for the Sacramento Triathlon Club, and it has been an exceptional experience from day one. His attention to detail, thoughtful technical feedback, and genuine investment in understanding how each training session feels and unfolds make his coaching truly stand out. Every session feels intentional, personalized, and purpose-driven.

Within just the first few months under his guidance, I became significantly more comfortable in the water and was able to triple my swim volume, something I never thought possible in such a short timeframe.

I’m incredibly grateful for Coach Chris and plan to continue working with him for as long as I can. If you’re serious about improving your swimming and want a coach who is both technically sharp and deeply invested in your success, Chris is the real deal. Athlete – Roy Huh

Before working with Chris, I was a "wing it" athlete with no real training plan or nutrition strategy. Together, we took on the Ironman World Championships in Nice, France 2024 — and it was a complete eye opener.

Chris taught me that communication, trust, and following the plan were everything. Through a serious bike crash, head trauma, and broken bones, he kept me focused and honest. His answer to "can I still make it?" was always truthful — "Yes you can, but the window is closing. We can't have any more setbacks." Even when it was hard to hear. I showed up to France ready — no fear of cutoffs, strong mentally, and fueled properly for the first time in my racing life.

If that wasn't enough, one month before CIM I had an emergency pacemaker put in. Doctors said a BQ wasn't possible. Chris believed otherwise — and I crossed that finish line with a PR and a Boston qualifier.

Chris tailors everything to your life, your schedule, and your setbacks. As I always say, "You don't know what you don't know" — but with Chris as your coach, you will. I'm blessed to have him as my coach and friend. No more just winging it! — Sherrie
